The old newsletter was functional, but only barely. It had no visual hierarchy, inconsistent typography across every issue, and a layout so dense it discouraged readers from engaging with the stories inside. Donor feedback consistently mentioned the publication felt “dated” and “hard to read.”
Holy Cross Family Ministries trusted us to reimagine it entirely, preserving the heart of what they do while building a publication that felt as professional and compelling as any commercial magazine.
The old newsletter had served them for years, but it was time for a change that matched the quality of their mission.
Stakeholder interviews, competitor teardown, catalog audit
User interviews with residents, security staff, and property managers
User personas, jobs-to-be-done, and core feature prioritization
Wireframes, prototypes, UI system, and developer handoff
Alongside the newsletter redesign, we produced a short-form video capturing the heart of Holy Cross Family Ministries, their mission, their people, and the families they serve around the world. Edited in Adobe Premiere, the video was designed to work across social media, email campaigns, and donor presentations.
We chose WordPress for its CMS flexibility, the La Salette team can manage Mass schedules, sacramental announcements, ministry pages, and event listings without ever calling a developer. The Events Calendar plugin handles their full parish calendar, while WPForms powers prayer request submissions and general enquiries. The result is a site the parish office feels genuinely confident managing day to day.
